Right on the banks of the Wakenitz lies our Marli Boathouse—a place for long afternoons by the water, cold drinks in the sun, and evenings that are welcome to last just a little longer. Here, “freshly caught” takes on a more relaxed, summery feel—and perhaps feels just a tiny bit further removed from everyday life. Even though you haven’t actually left Lübeck at all.

In the summer, regular live music nights are just as much a part of the experience as a spontaneous sundowner after work. And on Sundays, we like to start the day a little earlier—with breakfast right on the Wakenitz.
The boathouse is our favorite spot for anything that’s meant to feel like a little getaway. Sitting by the water with friends, having a glass of wine, grabbing a bite to eat, and eventually realizing that “just popping by” has turned into an entire evening. That’s exactly how it should be.
