Located on the Untertrave, just a few steps from Lübeck’s Holsten Gate, our restaurant is where the story of “Fangfrisch” began. Here, Northern German cuisine meets modern concepts, high-quality ingredients, and an atmosphere that feels more like a favorite local hangout than a traditional fish restaurant. It’s unpretentious, lively, and always focused on what’s currently in season.
On our menu, you’ll find fish and seafood, as well as vegetarian dishes and our own unique take on North German classics. We value fine craftsmanship, but we’re not fans of unnecessary formality. That’s why our dishes can be special without being complicated—and why you can enjoy a fantastic evening out without having to dress up.
